“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” -Helen Keller

Kelly Hill, DVM, CHPV

Dr. Kelly Hill has always known she wanted to be a veterinarian. She graduated from Davidson College and earned her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She spent 16 years in emergency medicine across Florida, Georgia and Maine. Originally trained in traditional Western medicine, a personal cancer diagnosis in 2016 led Dr. Hill to explore integrative care and the profound impact of lifestyle, herbal medicine, and nutrition on health. This journey inspired the creation of Haven Veterinary Hospice & Senior Care, where she provides gentle in-home care focused on comfort, connection, and quality of life. Dr. Hill is proud to be certified in hospice and palliative care through the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) and serves on its board of directors. She believes pets are deeply valued members of the family and is honored to guide and support families through each stage of their pet’s life. Dr. Hill and her husband, Matt, founded Tranquil Waters Aquamation in 2021 to provide customized, environmentally friendly cremation services to their community. They live in Biddeford with their three daughters, six cats, three dogs, and a lively flock of chickens.

Rhianne Hallows on the phone with a dog in her lap

Rhianne Hallows, RVT

Rhianne is Haven Veterinary Hospice & Senior Care's resident Canadian. Working remotely, she is often the first voice clients hear when they reach out. She graduated from Winnipeg's Red River College in 2014 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist and is on track to earn her hospice and palliative care certification through the IAAHPC in 2026. Rhianne listens deeply, speaks gently, and meets people exactly where they are, whether they are feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or grieving. In addition to her warm and steady presence on the phone, she serves as a knowledgeable source of comfort and continuity for ongoing clients between home visits with Dr. Hill. Rhianne lives in Winnipeg with her husband, her goldendoodle, and two cats. When she's not working, you'll find her curled up with a good book, painting pet portraits, or tending to her beloved indoor plant collection.
